The Department of Computer Application focuses on developing IT skills in students besides basic managerial knowhow. The Department has a blend of well-qualified and dedicated faculty members to its credit.

It has an advanced computer lab well-equipped to provide state-of-the-art computing facilities to the students. The department has pioneered in building a strong relation with industry that has helped the department in conducting various seminars on latest trends and technologies. The Department of Computer Application also provides guidance to the students along with various opportunities to participate in live projects for gaining on-the-job experience. It aims at equipping the students with those present-day skills that are essential to sustain and progress in their work and career.

Graduates will be efficient leading professionals with the knowledge of computer application discipline that enables them to pursue higher education and/or successful careers in national and global realms.
Graduates will possess capability of designing successful and sustainable innovative solutions to real life problems that are technically sound, economically viable and socially acceptable.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

Domain knowledge: To offer critical fundamentals Computer Applications that amalgamate the knowledge of mathematics, computer science and management that serves as an ideal foundation for an excellent professional career.
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze computer engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for problems related to computer Applications and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.Graduates will have the ability to understand and analyze a given real-world problem and propose feasible computing solutions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select, integrate and apply appropriate techniques, resources, modern Computer technologies and IT tools to all computer applications including prediction and modeling to complex activities with an understanding of the limitations
The Software, engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the computer Science and applications practice.
Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional computer solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
